Willie P. Leland, 94, of Dover, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2026.

He was born on November 14, 1931, in Lewis County, Tennessee, the son of the late Chester and Margaret Milligan Leland. Willie was also preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Warner “Dean” Leland, on December 31, 2022; his son-in-law, Karl Konigsberger; and six siblings.

He retired from the former Union Camp in Dover after 35 years of service. Willie was a longtime, active member of the Church of Christ in Dover, where he served as an Elder and song leader for many years. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antique cars and regularly took his 1966 Chevy Impala and 1965 Buick Skylark to car shows. Willie was known for being handy and able to fix just about anything. He also enjoyed flipping houses long before it became popular and took pride in keeping up his yard.

He is survived by his children: Deborah Konigsberger of Mogadore, Connie Leland of South Carolina, Brenda (Mike) Fritz of Dover, and Shelly (Troy) Mulvaine of New York; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18th at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Dover, with Evangelist Harry Ogletree officiating. Interment will follow at Dover Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements are being handled by the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover.
