Wayne E. Harmon

Wayne E. Harmon, 87, of Dover passed away at his home on Monday, February 12, 2024 surrounded by his family.

He was born of August 23, 1936 in Dover and was a son of the late Ira and Alice Balder Harmon.  Wayne was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Harmon on September 16, 2007; brothers, Paul, Russell and Les Harmon; and his sister, Dorothy Miller.

Wayne retired from Republic Steel in Massillon after 42 years of service.  He was a member of the New Philadelphia Elks and the Beach City Army Navy Club.  Wayne enjoyed bowling and taking weekend trips to Wheeling Island.

He is survived by his sons, Ron Harmon of Dover, Rick (Tammy) Harmon, Randy Harmon (companion, Billie Corso) both of Dundee; grandchildren, Kelly, Jessy, Cory, Ricky, Taylor, Tiffani, Stacy, Tamara, Casey, and Austin; great grandchildren, Ryan, Heaven, Freya, Corbin, Harmony, Miracle, Trevor, Halie, Cari, Charleigh, Chloe, Brynleigh, Ezekiel, Braylinn and Gracie; brother, Robert (Shelby) Harmon and sister, Pauline Harmon both of Dover.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 16^th starting at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. David Wing officiating.   Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park.  The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
