Wanda M. Keener

Wanda M. Keener, age 89, of Dover, died Saturday, September 19, 2015, in Country Club Retirement Campus at Dover.

Born February 9, 1926, at Strasburg, she was a daughter of the late Garrison and Catherine Page Hanenkrat. Wanda attended school at Dover, and married John D. Keener on December 8, 1945. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose life revolved around her family. Wanda attended Ruslin Hills Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Keener of New Philadelphia; her sons, John (Betty) Keener of Apple Creek, Dale (Becky) and Jim (Holli) Keener, both of Dover; her seven grandchildren, Mary Ann Davis, Kurt (Christi) and Kevin (Julie) Keener, Tracy (Erich) Connor, Brian (Cathy), Sarah and Madalyn "Maddie" Keener; and her thirteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her step-father, Clarence Faist; and beloved husband, John, on June 21, 1992.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Tuesday, September 22, 10 11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11.
