Virginia G. Vasbinder

Virginia G. Vasbinder, 91, of Dover passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, July 6, 2024.

Virginia was born on March 1, 1933 in Wheeling, West Virginia. She retired in 1990 from GTE in Dover after 22 years of service.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Ron) Saffell of Dover; sisters, Leatha Howell, Deloris Borter; grandchildren, Gina Parker of Colorado, Kendra (Brock) Davis of Pennsylvania ; great grandchild, Jax Parker; her canine companion, Daisy, and many extended family members.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12th starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. The family will be greeting friends on Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Per Virginia’s wishes, cremation will follow the funeral service, with private family interment of the ashes to be held at a later date.
