Twila D. Brindley

Twila D. Brindley, 90, of Dover, died Monday, May 24, 2010, in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover.

She was born July 10, 1919 at Fresno, the daughter of the late Harry E. and Bertha McPherson Lang.

Twila retired after 30 of service to the Timken Company at Canton where she worked as a bearings inspector. She was a member of Dover Baptist Temple and enjoyed singing in the choir. She loved spending time with friends and family and was well known for the meticulous way she cared for her lawn.

Her husband, Roy L. Brindley, preceded her in death in November of 1982.

Surviving family members include: a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Martin of Dover; two step daughters, Shirley (Ed) Griffin and Peggy (Bill) McPeek of Uhrichsville; two step-sons, Redell (Penny) Brindley of Uhrichsville and Dick Brindley of California; a step-daughter-in-law, Rita Brindley; sister-in-law, Dorotha Lang of Dover; 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a great great-granddaughter.

Along with her parents and husband, Twila was preceded in death by: her son, Dale; stepson, Jack; 7 brothers and a sister.

Pastor Christopher Rhodes will lead a funeral service that celebrates Twila's life on Thursday, May 27, at 10:00 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. Interment will follow in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.
