Tommy Ray "Tom" Taylor

Tommy Ray “Tom” Taylor, 71, of Dover passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Community Hospice Truman House.

Born on March 1, 1947 in Dover, he was the son of the late Richard and Evelyn (Overton) Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard “Tank” Taylor.

He was a 1965 graduate of Dover High School. Following graduation, he attended barber school and worked for many years at Canton South Barber Shop. He loved fishing and looked forward to his yearly fishing trip to Canada.

He will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law; Barbara Taylor of Sugarcreek; step-son, Bill Petersheim of Dover; nephew, Keith (Valerie) Taylor of Dover; niece, Steffanie (Tom) Richter of Baltic; great nephews, Jakob and Tobias; along with his great niece, Emily.

In honoring Tom’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover. A memorial service will take place at the Salvation Army Church in New Philadelphia on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 5pm with George and Jennifer Bates officiating.
