Timothy W. Miller, 39, of Strasburg died Wednesday, July 24, 2019 in the Cleveland Clinic following a brief battle with Legionnaires Disease.
Born August 6, 1979 in Massillon he was the son of Christine Williams Betz of Strasburg and the late Timothy L. Miller.
Tim was a 1999 graduate of Strasburg High School and was a member of New Pointe Community Church. Sports were Tim’s passion, he loved coaching his kids in football, baseball, softball and basketball; and was currently the commissioner of Strasburg Youth Football. When he wasn’t coaching, he enjoyed watching his beloved Browns, Indians, Cavs and Ohio State Buckeyes; he also loved traveling, especially going on vacation with his family.
Tim is survived by his wife, Jayna Watkins Miller, whom he married on June 15, 2013; children, Christian Miller of Strasburg, Alyssa Miller of New Philadelphia, Tressel Miller of Strasburg; sisters, Nicole (John) Marchick of Akron, Elizabeth (Dustin) Pringle of Dover, Laura Miller (fiancé, James Marshall) of Massillon; stepfather, Fred Betz of Strasburg.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 1st at 7:00 pm in the New Pointe Community Church with Pastor Becky Evanoff officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church on Thursday from 5-7 pm. Since Tim loved entertaining, an informal gathering will also be held at Strasburg Franklin Park, Boy Scout Pavilion, on Sunday, August 11th from 1-5 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tim Miller fund c/o Strasburg Savings Bank at 152 N Wooster Ave, Strasburg, OH 44680.
