Thomas W. “Bones” Grimm, 86, of Dover passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 in The Inn at Northwood.

Born September 12, 1934 in Dover he was a son of the late Vernon and Mary “Marie” Hartman Grimm. Tom was also preceded in death by five brothers, Dale, Jack, Gene, Max, Jim Grimm; sisters, Doris Berkey and June Becker.

Tom was a 1952 graduate of Dover High School. Following graduation, he proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War. Upon completion of his service, he was employed at Ashland Oil Refinery in Canton, retiring in 1995 after 30 years of service. Tom was a member of the First Moravian Church at Dover, served as Commander of the Dover VFW, and was involved with the Tuscarawas County Veteran Service Office. In his spare time, Tom enjoyed playing a round of golf with his family and friends.

A wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather, Tom will be sadly missed by his wife of 56 years, Etta Reichman Grimm whom he married on July 6, 1964; sons, Tom (Jeanne) Grimm of Carrollton, Terry (Jim) Grimm of Akron, Chad (Mary) Grimm of Dover; brother, Robert Grimm of Nevada; sisters, Jane Mason of Salem, Nancy Goss of Dover; grandchildren, Dustin (Shauna), Tom (Andrea), Jay Grimm and Olivia (Ben) Lambert.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9th starting at 11:00 am with Pastor John Wallace officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park where the New Philadelphia VFW will conduct military graveside services. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
