Terrence R. Potts

Terrence R. Potts, age 60, of New Philadelphia, and formerly of Portsmouth, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023, in Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital, Dover, where he was taken after becoming ill at home.

Born January 27, 1963, in Portsmouth, he was the son of the late Willie J. Potts and Josephine Peters Potts Cobb. Terrence worked as a long distance truck driver most of his life. He liked to travel and his occupation fit him well. Terrence had a great sense of humor and made friends easily - he never met a stranger.

He will be dearly missed by his sister, Tosca Potts Sweatt (wife, Judy Curd) of Columbia, Missouri; his nieces and nephew, Kylayna, Shakayne and Anthony (wife, Brittney) Pickles; his great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, Terrence was preceded in death by his nephew, Charles Sweatt.

Cremation is in the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. Terrence’s family will observe their own private time of remembrance.
