Susan Jo Everhart

Susan Jo Everhart, age 69, of Dover, passed away at Hennis Care Centre in Dover on Thursday, December 4, 2025, following an extended illness. 

Born September 14, 1956, Susan was the daughter of the late Howard and Nancy Hayward Reichman. She graduated from Dover High School in 1975 and was in charge of planning the class reunions. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading, loved watching Gone with the Wind, and previously served as a proud 4-H advisor. Susan worked at Hennis Care Centre in Dover serving as human resource coordinator for 31 years. 

Susan married Robert R. Everhart Jr. on June 15, 1978, and the two celebrated 39 years of marriage prior to his passing on September 5, 2017. She leaves behind two children: Tierney (Damien) Laverty of South Carolina and Josh (Wendy Verret) Everhart of California; grandchildren Shelby and Siena Everhart and Scarlett and Savannah Laverty.

She enjoyed vacationing with her sisters, who survive her: Kimberly (Greg) Chek, Laurie (Jeff) Mamarella, Kelly (John) Fishley, all of Dover; and Deb (Steve) Clinton of New Philadelphia; along with her many nieces and nephews.
