Sharon J. Gooch

Sharon J. Walton Gooch, 79, of Dover, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Altercare of Country Lawn in Navarre following a long illness under the care of Absolute Home Health Hospice.

Born in Dover on November 20, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John Jerome and Neva Phythyon Jerome. Sharon was a 1965 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School.

She had a kind and caring spirit and dedicated many years of service working at New Dawn Health Care Center in Dover. Sharon was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and proudly served in the Dover Police Auxiliary. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling and bingo.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Alec Walton, who passed away on February 3, 1975, and she was later preceded in death by her husband, Arlie "A.D." Gooch, who died on October 30, 2016.

Sharon is survived by her children, Mike (Tommi) Walton of New Philadelphia, Amanda (Kevin) Hawkins of New Philadelphia, and Tiffany LeMay of Dover; and her beloved grandchildren, Nick LeMay and Kylie Hawkins (Jarod).
