Sandra Faye Daley

Sandra "Sandy" Daley, 83, of Dover, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at New Dawn Health Care Center in Dover.

Born on December 4, 1942, in Dover, Sandy was the daughter of the late William G. and Vincie W. (Murphy) Winkler. She graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1961, where she proudly served as head majorette. During those high school years, she met her high school sweetheart, Dewey Daley. The two were married on June 8, 1963, and shared 52 years before his passing on September 6, 2015.

Sandy was a hardworking woman who took pride in her work and the people she met along the way. She worked for JCPenney and Elder-Beerman before retiring from AVI Vending, where she worked for 13 years. She also worked for Beitner Tire.

She was a faithful member of Midvale Global Methodist Church and cherished the friendships and relationships she built throughout her life. Sandy will be remembered for her warm heart, her caring nature, and the special place she held in the lives of her family, friends, and neighbors.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sandy was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Davis; brother, William Winkler; and special neighbor, Randy Johns.

She will be deeply missed by her sons, Tony Daley and Tim Daley; son-in-law, Sam Davis; beloved neighbor, Periann Johns; and special friend, Karen Riggs.

In honoring Sandy's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover.

A memorial service will be held at Midvale Global Methodist Church on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 11:00 am with Pastor Kory Rowland officiating. Friends can gather from 10:00-11:00 am. A meal will follow the service at the church.

Sandy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
