Ruth B. Gordon

Ruth B. Gordon, 93, of Winfield, died Wednesday, April 3, 2002 in the Park Village Health Care Center.

She had worked as a stenographer for the Canton Repository.

Born May 13, 1908 at Dundee, she was daughter of the late Arthur and Estella Baker Burrell.

Ruth was a graduate of Dundee High School and the Canton Actual Business College. She was a member of the Winfield United Methodist Church where she was active as a Ladies Aid. She was also active in the Winfield Grange and served as a 4-H leader.

She was preceded in death by her husband, G. Dale Gordon, who died June 12, 1994.

Survivors include: a daughter; Mrs. Edwin (Darlene) Muckley of Strongsville, brother; Willis and Eva Burrell of Ravenna, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, at 1:00pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Rev. Steven Court officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. A reception will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center following the committal. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 7-9pm.
