Ruth A. Farnsworth

Ruth A. Farnsworth, 88, of Dover passed away at her granddaughter’s home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

Ruth was born on February 22, 1933 in Barbo, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Leo and Naomi (Slaymen) Pickar. She married Elwood J. Farnsworth, who preceded her in death on October 7, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Goddard, and granddaughter, Amanda Dye.

Ruth was a member of the Holy Trinity Church at Zoar. She enjoyed gardening and was always willing to lend a helping hand where needed.

Ruth will be sadly missed by her son, Terry (Patricia) Farnsworth of Canton; son in-law, Tracy Goddard; granddaughter and caregiver, Tracy (Robert) Russell.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, 140 S. Bodmer Ave, Strasburg, Ohio 44680 with Pastor Andy McClung officiating. Interment will take place at St. Aloysius Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends are invited to call at the Strasburg funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until the service starts at 11:00.
