Rose Marie Daley, 97, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Country Club Retirement Center in Dover. She was born on October 27, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Vito and Lenor (Altier) Petitti.
Rose Marie was a dedicated and hardworking woman who retired from Union Hospital in 1999, where she had worked in the laundry department for over 22 years.
On April 23, 1949, she married the love of her life, William Daley. Their marriage was one of devotion and partnership until William’s passing on July 27, 2007.
In addition to her husband, Rose Marie was preceded in death by her two sons, Michael (Patricia) Daley and Richard Daley, as well as her brothers, Michael (Jerry) Petitti, John (Mary Ann) Petitti, and Anthony (Carol) Petitti.
Rose Marie was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Philadelphia. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially reading, embroidery, and spending cherished time with her grandchildren. Her quiet strength, dedication to family, and gentle spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Wendy Daley, Theresa Daley (Jeremy), and Michelle (Charlie) Anderson; her great-grandchildren, Autumn, Annabel, and Vinny; her sister, Eleanor (Howard) Froelich; her nieces, Cindy (Chris) LaVoie, and Sue (Tim) Fisher; along with several other nieces and nephews.
Deacon Ronald Onslow will conduct a funeral service at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 10:30 am.
