Roberta L. "Birdy" Slocum

Roberta L. “Birdy” Slocum, age 62, of Dover, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018, in Community Hospice’s Truman House after battling cancer.

Born February 27, 1956 in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Donna Reigle Slocum. Birdy attended New Philadelphia High School and was a loving homemaker who especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Additionally, Birdy liked listening to oldies music.

Survivors include her daughter, Tiffany (Leroy) Zedi of Dover; her grandchildren, Logan, Bobby, Daniel, Chanler, Tionna and Zilynn; her sisters, Deb (Steve) Decker of Uhrichsville, and Barbara Hudnall of New Philadelphia; her brothers, Ed (Rhonda) Slocum of Gnadenhutten, and Bob (companion, Laura Vestal) Slocum of Dover; her good friend, Stacy Hutchison of New Philadelphia; and her nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Birdy was preceded in death by her fiance, Rick Hudnall.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Sunday, October 14, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; a service will follow at 1:30 with Pastor Bob Jones officiating.
