Robert J. Samia

Robert J. Samia, 69, of New Philadelphia, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 while navigating a long illness.

Born on May 31, 1956, in Troy, New York, Robert was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Beverly (Alber) Samia.

Robert was a dedicated and hardworking employee of Freeport Press in New Philadelphia, where he was known for his reliability, dedication and quiet strength. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, kind heart, and dry sense of humor.

He is survived by his loving sisters, Susan (Bruce) Robinson and Sharon (Eric) Phillips and his nephews Ryan, Brandon and Sean Phillips who will forever cherish his memory.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover. In keeping with Robert’s wishes, services will be reserved for family members.
