Robert J. "Bob" Ciekanski

Robert J. "Bob" Ciekanski, 69, of Strasburg passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, May 9, 2025. 

Born April 29, 1956 in Berea, Ohio he was a son of the late Thaddius "Ted" and Jean Frontczak Ciekanski.  Bob was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard and Jerry Ciekanski.

Bob retired in 2020 as the branch manager of Ohio Cat in Canton following many years of service. Alongside his wife, Connie, he took pride in owning and operating Dover Healthy Alternatives.

Known for his outgoing personality, Bob was a man who thrived on helping others. His friends often remarked on his ability to fix just about anything, embodying a spirit of generosity that touched many lives. He was a founding member of the Strasburg Soccer Club and served on its board. Bob's interests extended into the realm of sports, where his loyalty to the Cleveland Browns stood out. A life-long Republican, Bob was also a tremendous supporter of President Donald J. Trump, advocating for the principles that resonated deeply with him.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of almost 35 years, Connie Wells Ciekanski whom he married on May 28, 1990; children, Matt Ciekanski (fiancé, Ally Hitchcock) of Dover and Cassi Ciekanski of Cleveland. Additionally, he is survived by his step-son, Jeffrey Tolotti of Bolivar; sister, Nancy Purcell of Brunswick; mother-in-law, Wanda Schumacher of Dover; sister in law, Monica Morrison of Strasburg. Bob's love will continue through his grandchildren, Kinsley Ciekanski and Marcella and Spencer Tolotti.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Strasburg.  A service celebrating Bob's life will be held on Thursday, May 15th starting at 11:00 am with his nephew, Brian Blair officiating.  The family will be greeting friends at the funeral on Thursday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
