Robert A. Ritterbeck

Robert A. Ritterbeck, age 63, of Strasburg, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, in Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital, Dover.

Born April 5, 1958, in Akron, he was a son of the late Robert J. and Juanita M. Smith Ritterbeck. Robert graduated from Akron’s Ellet High School in 1976, and went on to serve honorably with the United States Navy. He was employed as a healthcare field service agent, first for General Electric and then for Philips. Robert enjoyed history, particularly learning about the Second World War.

He is survived by his sons, Brent A. (Sarah) Ritterbeck of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Dustin (Ashlee) Ritterbeck of Clarksville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Juliet and Luca; his sister, Gloria (Donald) Adamov of Uniontown; and his nephews, Adam and Andy Ritterbeck, and Donald John, Timothy and Ryan Adamov.

Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Ritterbeck.

Honoring Robert’s wishes, he will be cremated and his cremated remains placed in the columbarium at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
