Reba J. Snyder, 100, of Dover passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 in the New Dawn Retirement Center at Dover.
She was born on January 9, 1926 in Dover and was a daughter of the late Bryan and Bertha Long Taylor. Reba was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Snyder on March 21, 2011; son, Kent Snyder on July 28, 2025; and a grandson, Richard Seikel.
Reba was a dedicated and active member of Grace Lutheran Church, where her presence was felt in every corner of congregational life. She faithfully served on the Altar Guild, meticulously preparing the sanctuary for worship, and lent her wisdom to numerous committees, and gave her time as a Sunday School teacher throughout the years. Beyond the church walls, Reba was known for her incredible talent as a seamstress. She found great joy in her craft, most notably in the beautiful dresses she hand-sewed for the women in her family.
Reba is survived by her daughter, Jean (David) Seikel of New Philadelphia; daughter in law, Kathy Snyder of Green; grandchildren, Matthew (Anne) Seikel, Mark (Larissa) Seikel, Kevin (Jessica) Snyder, Kurt Snyder, Kelly (Glenn) Zdazenski; and eight great grandchildren, Jacob, Lauren, Makenna, Gabriella and Hallie Seikel; Avery, Nolan and Brayden Snyder.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23rd starting at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Matthew Wald officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.
