Randy O. Pershing

Randy O. Pershing, age 57, of Dover (Parral), died Tuesday, July 19, 2022, in his home, following a sudden illness.

Born October 14, 1964, in Massillon, he was a son of the late John A. and Bonnie L. Hess Pershing. Randy attended school in Dover, and was a skilled welder employed by Gradall Industries in New Philadelphia.

He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, mushroom-hunting and working in the yard around his home.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Aileen Abenir Pershing, whom he married on March 13, 2015; his brother, John “Cave” Pershing; his brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Karina Pershing; his brother, Mike Pershing; his brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Christine Pershing; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Felicidad and Loreto Abenir; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Edel and Roderick DePedro, Gemma and Joy Lataquin, and Jessel and Ryan Repaldo; and his many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Randy was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Jo Pershing; his son, John Otto Pershing, as well as his step-daughter, Alyssa Abenir Zaulda, both this year, on March 23 and June 14, respectively. It may be said that Randy died of a broken heart.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Sunday, July 24, 1 - 3 p.m. A service will follow at 3 in the funeral home with family friends, Bruce and Tim Levengood officiating.

Donations are suggested to Randy’s family to help with final expenses.
