Priscilla Ann Beitzel

Priscilla Ann Beitzel, 95, of New Philadelphia passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Mercy Hospital Cleveland Clinic.

Born on May 2, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Gowins) Everett. She married Earl Beitzel, who preceded her in death in August of 2012. She was also preceded in death by her daughter; Amy Beitzel; grandson, Nathan Beitzel; daughter in-law, Christine Beitzel; along with two brothers and one sister. Sadly, Priscilla was the last of her generation.

Priscilla attended Ragersville Elementary and graduated from Garaway High School. She was a candy striper which led her to becoming a registered nurse. She was able to attend nursing school with no charge because it was during the war. Priscilla retired from Union Hospital. She hated to retire because she loved nursing so much. She also worked at Walnut Hills Retirement Home for several years.

She was a member of LifeWay Church in New Philadelphia. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and will forever be remembered for her daily bacon sandwiches.

She leaves behind five of her children; Steve Beitzel of New Philadelphia, Stephanie (Scott) Boli of North Canton, Tim (Lori) Beitzel of Bolivar, Todd (Holly) Beitzel of Bolivar, Matt (Gail) Beitzel of Bosie, Idaho; her grandchildren, Nicole, Stevie, Heather, Kristen, Emily, Scottie, Cory, Stacie, Joshua, Jason, Timothy, Matthew, Christopher, Andrew, Noah, Emily, Casey, Ashlynn, and Zack; along with 24 great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to call at the LifeWay Church in New Philadelphia on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 11:00-12:00 pm. Pastor Larry Fletcher will officiate a funeral service on Thursday at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place at Evergreen Burial Park.
