Peggy Ann Arredondo

Peggy Ann Arredondo, 89, of New Philadelphia passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on January 1, 1933, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd “Buck” and Helen (Whitman) O’Connor.

Peggy was a graduate of Uhrichsville High School with the class of 1950. She worked in the accounting department at Century Graphics and also handled the books for Hick’s Furniture Store in Dennison. She owned Peggy’s Boutique in New Philadelphia.

Peggy was a very talented artist and was well known for her oil paintings. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Adolph Arredondo, whom she married on July 4, 1987. She also leaves behind her son: Michael (Cyndi) Murphy, daughter; Karen Lynn (Michael) DeOrio; grandchildren; Sean (Elisa) Murphy and Aubrianna DeOrio; great-grandson, Luca Murphy; her brother, Les O’Connor; sister, Linda Fanning; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her son; Michael Joseph Arredondo; daughter, Molly Murphy; sister, Karen O’Connor; and brother, Daniel O’Connor.

Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm. Rev. Lisa M. Fisher will officiate a celebration of Peggy’s life at the funeral home on Monday, January 10, 2022, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville, Ohio.
