Nikol Lee Reber, 52, of Dover passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
Born on May 29, 1969, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Reber and Tina Gray Reber. Nikol graduated from Dover High School with the class of 1987. She worked in several restaurants over the years.
Nikol was very eccentric and had a great sense of humor. She was a fashionista in her day and was extremely proud of her tattoos. She was a gifted and creative artist with several mediums. Nikol had a huge heart for all animals and especially loved her cats.
Nikol battled addiction for over 20 years. She was proud that in June of 2019 she became sober and remained that way. She had many friends and was active at the Harbor House and several recovery groups. She was a friend to everyone she ever met.
She adored her family and leaves behind her mother, Tina Gray Reber of Dover; three daughters, Sophia (Nate) McGuire Jewell of Gahanna, Ava Reber of Dover, Isabel Salmen Reber of Dover; her beloved grandsons who called her “Grammie Kol,” Calvin and Henry Jewell; her sister, Kelly Perrone; brother, Seth (Wendy) Reber; brother in-law, Don Hochstetler; nieces and nephews, Katie Perrone, Samson Hochstetler, Carly (Walter) Stull, Lilia Reber, Alaina Reber, and Orion Reber; along with her partner, Taylor Bridgman; special friends, Julie Walters, Danielle Gee, and Laura Jane Kelker; along with her daily walking buddy, Bryan Androsky; and several other close friends.
In addition to her father, Samuel, she is preceded in death by Isabel’s father, Jon Salmen.
Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 5-7 pm. A celebration of Nikol’s life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 11:00 am with Rex Ray officiating.
