Nancy K. Hutchinson, age 77, of Dover, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in Community Hospice Truman House, New Philadelphia.
Born February 2, 1944, in Columbus, she was a daughter of the late John C. and Anita Thompson Beiter. Nancy’s father was in the United States Navy during the Second World War, and, as a young lady, Nancy lived all over the United States. She married Joe Hutchinson, who survives, on August 8, 1961, and later, in 1962, graduated from Newcomerstown High School. Nancy worked alongside Joe at the family-owned Amoco service station on North College Street in Newcomerstown for 37 years.
Nancy was a woman of faith, and was a loving and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed reading, writing, going to Tuscora Park in New Philadelphia and feeding the ducks, and long car rides in the country.
In addition to her husband, Joe, she is survived by her sons, Dave (wife, SaLena Sides) Hutchinson of Byhalia, Mississippi, and Tim (wife, Lori) Hutchinson of Dover; her grandchildren, Alexis, Nicole and Blaine Hutchinson, and Tessa (husband, Ryan) Murray; her great-grandchildren, Ayva, Khloe, Jaiden, Aiden and Jonathon; her brother-in-law, Jim Howell; and her nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, her sister, Judy Howell, and her grandmother, Kathleen Thompson, preceded Nancy in death.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Sunday, September 12, 2 – 4 p.m. Immediately afterward, there will be a late lunch in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover. Nancy’s life will be celebrated in a service Monday, September 13, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home; Pastor Larry Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown.
