Michael L. Shook

Michael L. Shook, 33, of Dover, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, January 4, 2026, following an apparent heart attack.

Born October 6, 1992, in Orrville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Roger Shook.

For the past four years, Michael worked as a truck driver for Marathon Oil in Canton.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, grilling, playing video games, tinkering with remote control cars, and the occasional round of golf.

He is survived by his wife of eight years, Brandy Johnson, whom he married May 20, 2017; daughters, Cassandra Varga of Magnolia, and Autumn and Athena Shook of the home; sister, Latasha Shook; mother Denise Harrouff of New Philadelphia; aunt, Lynn (Roger) Briggs of Virginia, and cousin, Stephanie (Chet) Prock of New Philadelphia.

Cremation has been entrusted to Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover. There will be no public services or calling hours.
