Mary Ann Holbrook

May 30, 1950 — May 6, 2026

Mary Ann Holbrook, 75, passed away suddenly at her home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Born on May 30, 1950, in Marietta, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Elizabeth (Reifer) Yurkovich. Mary Ann was a graduate of Toronto High School, Class of 1968, and later attended Jeff Tech, where she learned shorthand skills that would serve her throughout her career.

Mary Ann worked for Diebold and was also employed at Marlite and the License Bureau. She further dedicated her time to Eastern Alcohol Service Training (EAST). One of her greatest joys was cooking, and many will fondly remember the meals she lovingly prepared for Camp Buckeye.

She enjoyed crafting and was a talented seamstress whose creativity touched many lives. Mary Ann will also be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and her ability to make herself and those around her laugh. If you knew her, you knew she loved discussing politics and all the ways she believed the world could improve.

On August 28, 1980, she married Ronald Holbrook, who preceded her in death on May 10, 2004.

Mary Ann is survived by her children, Suzanne (Richard) Zioui of Canal Fulton, Natalie (Zack) Smith of Sugarcreek, Patrick Holbrook of Canton, Courtney (Will) Siemer of Cincinnati, and Alicia (Brandon) Snider of Canton; her grandchildren, Madeline, Collin, Carter, Lenin, Henry, Cecilia, Violet, and Calvin; and her siblings, Kathleen Williams, Betsy (David) Young, Jane (Travis) Albaugh, and Bridget (Gary) Martinelli.
