Madeline E. "Maggie" Or Maddie Tarulli

Madeline E. “Maggie” (“Maddie” as they liked to call her at Park Village) Tarulli, 95, of Dover passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Park Village South in New Philadelphia.

Born on May 17, 1926, in Roswell, she was the daughter of the late Pete and Emma (Ruffini) Galanga. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Louis and John Galanga, and her brother-in-law, William Barkett.

On August 26, 1950, she married Pat J. Tarulli, who preceded her in death on June 26, 2016. Maggie and Pat enjoyed golfing together. She especially loved looking for golf balls at Atwood Golf Course while riding along with Pat. She also always looked forward to their yearly vacation to Palm Springs.

Maggie was a cook for St. Joseph Schools for 20 years before she retired in 1989. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover.

Maggie also worked at Grandma Zifer’s Pizza Shop on the Boulevard for many years. She enjoyed family dinners making homemade spaghetti, meatballs, and cream puffs were her specialties. Her children and grandchildren still carry on her delicious recipes.

She leaves behind her children; Judy (Mike) Bour of New Philadelphia; two sons, Michael (Rita) Tarulli, and James (Diane) Tarulli both of Charlotte, NC; sister, Rose Barkett of Dover; along with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Maggie’s family would like to express their appreciation to the staff and nurses at Park Village South for the excellent care she received.

A graveside service will take place at St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery in Dover on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 10:00 am with Father Jimmy Hatfield officiating.
