Keith Van Lieser, 69, of Phoenix, Arizona, lost his battle with cancer on November 22, 2025. Keith led a life filled with love, family, career, as well as his passions for restoring vintage Volkswagens and gardening.
Keith was a caring son, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and friend to many. He told his daughter that his children were his best accomplishment, and he was surrounded by their love and support, and the love of his daughters-in-law and grandchildren, until the very end.
Keith was predeceased by his parents, James and Greta Lieser, of East Sparta, Ohio.
Keith grew up in Dover, Ohio, and was a 1975 graduate of Dover High School, where he was a proud member of the marching band. He attended The Ohio State University before meeting Lisa, the mother of his children, and moving to Arizona.
He recently retired after a successful career in account management and service excellence with American Express and later CVS Pharmacy. He took pride in his work and valued his many friends; Keith often spoke of the good times they shared.
Keith is survived by his beloved children, Eric (Taryn) Lieser of Phoenix, Carrie (Jason) Aloisi of Boylston, Massachusetts, and Zachary (Ashley) Lieser, also of Phoenix; the bright lights of his life, his granddaughters, Madisyn, Raelynn, Scarlett and Amelia; his brothers, Joseph (Anita) Lieser, of Marblehead, Ohio, and Peter (Dana) Lieser of Liberty Township in Butler County, Ohio, and his best friend, Krista Rabe, of Phoenix, and her two sons, Chris and Cole.
Honoring Keith’s wishes, there will be no funeral service; however, a Celebration of Life for Keith will be held at a later date in Phoenix for family and friends. He requested that his remains be returned to Ohio, and a memorial plaque will be installed at Dover Burial Park.
The family suggests that donations in Keith’s name be made to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
