Kathleen E. Kerr

Kathleen “Kathy” Kerr, age 75, of Dover, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, following a brief period of declining health.

Kathy was born on June 2, 1950, to the late Robert and Doris (Patterson) Cox. She graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1968, and went on to be a secretary, beginning her career at New Philadelphia High School and Muskingum College, before going on to most notably serve at Trinity Episcopal Church in New Philadelphia. In addition to serving as secretary, Kathy was a proud volunteer within the church, at Union Hospital, and Meals on Wheels. She was also a devoted poll worker and a very proud Girl Scout leader. She was a talented seamstress, and dabbled in embroidery.

On May 20, 1972, Kathy married John “Phil” Kerr, who survives. The couple had three daughters: Heather (William) Clayton, Heidi Kerr, and Hayley (Brian) Parker. In addition to her husband and daughters, Kathy is survived by her grandchildren, Robert and Emilee Stilwell, Maleah Parker, Mason Parker, and Zachary Parker; and great grandchildren, Braelynn, Carter, Kobe, and Zachary.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her brother, David Cox.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Kathy’s memory to Trinity Episcopal Church, 122 Third Street NW, New Philadelphia, Ohio.
