Jon Christopher Robb, age 70, of New Philadelphia, died Monday, October 4, 2021, in Community Hospice Truman House after battling cancer.
Born March 7, 1951, in Dover, he was a son of the late Harry and Nora Affolter Robb. Jon graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1969, and went on to serve honorably with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his discharge, he attended Kent State University.
Jon was employed for many years as a freight expediter for Panther Premium Logistics. He was an artist, a poet and had a great sense of humor; anyone who was familiar with Jon knew that he danced to the beat of a different drum.
He will be dearly missed by his sister, Carol Lee Dawson of New Philadelphia; his brother, Marc (Carol) Robb of Dover; and his nephews, Michael and Christopher Dawson also of New Philadelphia.
Besides his parents, Jon was preceded in death by his long-time love, Andy Hanson.
