Jerry L. Green II, age 56, of New Philadelphia, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 26, 2021.
Born January 8, 1965, in Dover, he was a son of Nancy Severn Green Baker of New Philadelphia and the late Jerry Green. Jerry attended New Philadelphia High School, and went on to serve honorably with the United States Army. He was employed for years by the Click Burial Vault Company of New Philadelphia, and presently owned and operated Dawn and Jerry’s Pizzeria, also of New Philadelphia.
Besides his mother, Nancy, he is survived by his daughter, Brandy (Jerry Mansfield) Halsey of New Philadelphia; his step-children, Jon, Dusty, Abby and Marcus; his grandchildren, Robert Meek II, Adryanna Meek and Oladapo Ajayi; his sisters, Jenny (David) Werner of Tiffin, and Melody (Daniel) Adams of New Philadelphia; his step-sister, Patty (Denny) Thursby of Newcomerstown; and his several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, William Green; and his step-father, Robert “Poppy” Baker.
Visitation will be Monday, November 1, 12 - 2 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover; a funeral service will follow at 2, officiated by Pastor Rich Van Arsdalen of New Philadelphia’s Mosaic Community Church.
