Jeffrey L. Watkins

Jeffrey L. Watkins, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and cherished friend, passed away at his home on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the age of 61. 

Born on October 21, 1963, he was the son of Donna Sineff Watkins of Dover and the late Thomas Watkins.  Jeff was also preceded in death by his father in law, George Tice and Step-father in law, Walt Davis.

For the past 11 years, Jeff was employed at Dover High Performance Plastics. Known for his outgoing personality, he was truly a social butterfly who never met a stranger. His kind soul drew people in, making lasting connections wherever he went. A member of New Pointe Community Church, Jeff found joy in his faith and community. He was also a man of many talents, with a deep love for music. Jeff could sing beautifully and play most musical instruments, though playing the guitar was his greatest passion. Over the years, he played with several country bands, sharing his love for music with audiences and friends alike. Above all, Jeff was proud of his family. He loved his daughters and grandchildren deeply, and they were the cornerstone of his life.

In addition to his mother, Jeff is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna Tice Watkins whom he married on July 1, 1984; daughters, Breanna (Joshua) Browning of New Philadelphia, Shania (companion, Chaz) Watkins of Beach City; sisters, Johnna (Kevin) Mann, Carol (John) McRobie, Tanna (Chuck) Grandison all of Dover; grandchildren, Peyton, Carter, Cannon, George, Eliza; friend, Caleb Wilson of Beach City; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 10th starting at 6:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Kevin Anslow officiating.  The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
