Janet Kay Coyle, born on February 1, 1934, in Mineral City, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, at Ohio's Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia. She was the daughter of the late Harold J. and June (Brinkman) Giles. Janet's life was marked by her dedication to family, career, and a love for travel.
As a professional, Janet served as the executive secretary for Hardee's Corporate in Rocky Mountain, North Carolina. She was also employed at the Visiting Nurses Association in El Paso, Texas, where she worked diligently as a bookkeeper. Her contributions to these organizations exemplified her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
She graduated from Magnolia High School in 1951. On July 29, 1961, she married Harold Coyle. Janet cherished the moments spent traveling with Harold, embracing the adventures life had to offer together. Her zest for life and exploration created lasting memories that will be fondly remembered by those who knew her.
In addition to her husband, Harold, she will be sadly missed by her daughter, Pamela (Roger) Belledin; four sons, James (Maria) Coyle, Thomas (Beth) Coyle, Todd (Julie) Coyle, Joseph (Beth) Coyle; her grandchildren, Crystal Brown, Christen Coyle, Dustin Coyle, Zachary Coyle, Michael Coyle, Annie Layne Coyle and Alex McBride; several great-grandchildren; her sister, Marlene Brick; along with several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Harold J. Giles, and her mother, June Brinkman; her sisters, Marjorie Stover and Lenora Gross; and her brothers, Cleon Giles and Aaron Giles.
Friends are invited to gather at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. A celebration of Janet’s life will be held at noon with Pastor Duane Houser officiating. A meal will follow at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
