Janet C. Murphy

Janet C. Murphy, age 86, of Dover, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, in Community Hospice Truman House, New Philadelphia.

Born July 28, 1935, in Bolivar, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. Wallick and Berniece G. Bose Wallick Moore. Janet attended Bolivar High School and was employed for years by Dr. Casiano in New Philadelphia.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Kenneth P. Murphy, whom she married on October 23, 1954; her grandson, Christian Smart; and her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her daughter, Renee E. Smart, and her grandson, Anthony Smart.

Honoring her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no visitation or ceremony.
The family suggests that contributions in Janet’s memory be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
