Izaik Hoover Autrey, born June 3, 2008, passed away far too soon, leaving behind family and community who loved him deeply.
Izaik is the beloved son of Justin Autrey and the late Michelle Deetz, and cherished stepson of Denise Autrey. He is survived by his brother, Shawnie Deetz; his step-sisters, Tysha Reed, Beyoncé Cunningham, and Ajia Schreffler; along with his aunts and uncles, Jason (Kaitlyn) Duncan, Alex Deetz, Joe Clark, Jeff (Janet Ferrar) Clark, Cassie (Chad) Haney, Nikki Autrey, Ebony Lofton, and Carol Schreffler; as well as a host of cousins, extended family, and close friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Michelle Deetz; his grandparents, Deb Deetz, Joseph (Hoover) Clark, Phyllis Autrey, and Doris Schreffler; and his uncle, Fred Shamburger.
Izaik began his education at Claymont, later moving to New Philadelphia Schools in the second grade, and most recently attending Massillon High School during his junior year.
He was a phenomenal athlete with a natural talent for all sports, bringing passion and determination to everything he did. Outside of athletics, Izaik loved spending time with his friends, playing video games, and had a strong interest in fast cars.
Friends are invited to call at NewPointe Community Church in Dover on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 4-7 pm. Pastor Rasheed As-Samad will officiate a service at NewPointe on Tuesday at 11:00 am. To sign an online guestbook for Izaik, visit the obituary link on the funeral home's website.
Known for his sense of humor, Izaik was always the funny one—the kid who could make anyone laugh and brighten any room. His personality, smile, and ability to bring joy to others will never be forgotten.
