Ilma D. Walter, 82, of Dover died Thursday, March 16, 2000 at Massillon Community Hospital following a sudden illness.
She was an LPN at Massillon State Hospital, Hennis Care Centre and other nursing homes in the area.
Born December 16, 1917 near Wilmot, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Walter and Jessie Christman Flory.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Dover and was a former member of Dundee United Methodist Chruch. She was also a member of LPN Association and Royal Neighbors, and was a volunteer for the Bloodmobile, Union Hospital and was a Red Cross volunteer since 1960.
Ilma was preceded in death by her husband, Asa Walter, who died in 1973.
She is survived by two sons: Robert and Beverly Walter of Navarre.
Jerry and Regina Walter of Canal Fulton.
Sister: Rachel Annis of Canton.
Seven grandchildren: Bradley Walter Jeffrey Walter

Angela Easterday Alyssa Vaughn
Beth Carr
Three great grandchildren: Jamie, Kaitlyn and Brandon Walter.
She was also preceded in death by a sister Lola Brenneman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2000 at 2:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Daniel Legg officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 pm.
