Hilda M. Wallick

Hilda M. Wallick, 84, of 305 W. 21st St., Dover, Ohio died Thursday, June 19, 2003 in her home following an extended illness.

She was a former employee of J.C. Penney�(TM)s in Dover, Buehlers Store in Dover, and the former Stallard�(TM)s Grocery in Dover. She was also an Avon Representative for over 25 years.

Born September 12, 1918 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Emma Ogie Feutz. She was raised by the late Ferdinand “Felty” and Ida Feutz.

Hilda was a member of the St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ in Dover. She loved spending time with her family. She was an avid sports fan especially the Ohio State Buckeyes. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and playing cards.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garver L. Wallick with whom she was married 45 years. He died on August 23, 1984.

She is survived by five sons; Terry (Nikki) Wallick and G. Larry (Carol) Wallick both of New Philadelphia; Kenneth D. and Dennis (Rita) Wallick both of Dover; and Randy K. (Michelle) Wallick of Augusta, Missouri; She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, her sister, Alice Creager of Dover; two half sisters, Mary Lee Blickensderfer and Patricia Sindlinger; two half brothers, John and Bob Feutz; a life long friend, Florence Massie of Dover and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Dean, Bill, and Plin Feutz; one sister, Anna Humerickhouse; her longtime companion, Bob Zeigler; and a half sister, Nellie Stien.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Hilda will be held Monday, June 23, 2003 at 2 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 pm. A reception will follow at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
