Helen Suzanne Burton

Sue Burton, 77, of New Philadelphia, died on November 11, 2001 following a brief illness.

Born in Kenosha, WI on September 13, 1924 she was the daughter of the late William Ray and Helen Schoonover.

After graduating from OSU with a business degree, she was a buyer for Higbees. As a homemaker she spent much of her time doing volunteer work.

She was a life member of the Union Hospital Aux. She was formerly a member of AAUW and a deliverer for Meals on Wheels.

Surviving are her husband, Bill Burton of New Philadelphia; son, Tom (Ruth) Burton of Dover; daughter, Alison Burton of Englewood, CO; and eight grandchildren: Gabriel, Samuel, Abigail, Hope, Matthew, Bethany, Joshua and Luke Burton.

She was preceded in death by her only sibling, William A Schoonover.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2001 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home with her children officiating. Friends can call at the funeral home from 10:30 - 11:00.
