Harry G. Ault, age 87, of Mineral City, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2023, in Aultman Hospital, Canton, from complications after a fall at home.
Born September 8, 1936, in New Philadelphia, he was a son of the late James and Carrie Kaserman Ault. Harry attended school on Tabor Ridge near New Philadelphia, and later went on to serve honorably with the United States Army. Following his discharge, Harry took up the hard work and long hours of a farmer for the remainder of his life. Additionally, he worked part-time for Fairfield Township in Tuscarawas County.
Harry belonged to the Tuscarawas Valley Pioneer Power Association, and very much enjoyed the annual show at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds - where he pulled the water wagon and helped with the threshing and bailing. He loved old farm equipment. Harry was also a fixture at the Somerdale Homecoming Parade riding his large bicycle. Additionally, he enjoyed dinners at the Warren Township Community Center, picnicking on Tabor Ridge and baking his own bread.
Harry is survived by his nephews, Robert and James Kauffman, as well as his cousins.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Dorothy Kauffman, Catherine Marlor, Charles, Bob and John Ault.
