Glenn E. Sexton

June 23, 1935 — February 6, 2022

Glenn E. Sexton, 86, of Strasburg, passed away at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia on Sunday, February 6, 2022.

Born in Strasburg, he was the son of the late Kelse Sr. and Maude (Fannin) Sexton. He was also preceded in death by his brothers; Raymond, Thursten “Pete,” Clifford “Dick,” and his twin brothers, Homer and Omer Sexton.

Glenn retired from Eaton Corp where he was a crane operator for many years. Following his retirement, he worked at Amish Door for 20 years and had several other jobs in the area.

Glenn enjoyed all music, but he especially loved country and western. He played the guitar and sang in his own band known as “Glenn Sexton and the Moonlighters.”

He leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Beulah (Graves), whom he married on February 5, 1954; his three daughters, Glenetta (Mike) Murray of Dundee, Janet Margo of Strasburg and Becky Sexton of Uhrichsville; two grandchildren, Tony (Melissa) Margo of Dover and Travis Margo (Crystal Fiez) of Columbus; his brother, Kelse Jr. “Boots” (Lois) Sexton of New Philadelphia; along with many nieces and nephews.

In honoring Glenn’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted with the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes & Crematory in Dover. There will be no services or calling hours. To sign an online guestbook for Glenn, visit the obituary link on the funeral home’s website.
