Eugene L. Gray Jr.

Eugene L. Gray Jr., age 78, of Strasburg, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice Truman House.

Eugene was born in Dennison, Ohio, on July 21, 1947 to the late Eugene Sr., and Ruth (Mahaffy) Gray. He honorably served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a fork lift operator at Foodways International in Massillon and enjoyed a round of golf with his son, Bryan.

Surviving are his children, Stephanie (Dan) Stratton and Bryan Gray of Strasburg; grandchildren, Mason (Megan) Miller, Harley Miller (fiancé Brandon Diehl), and Riley Miller (Travis Floyd); brother, Josiah (Joyce) Gray of New Philadelphia; and sisters, Katherine Geoff of Freeport, and Lucia VanDyne of Urichsville. He is also survived by his great-grandson, Oliver Gray Miller, who was so proudly named after his great-grandfather. In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Larry Geoff.
