Eleanor M. Mann

Eleanor M. Mann, age 95, of Dover, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at her home.

Born September 26, 1930, in Rittman, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Elsie (Schindler) Rufener. Eleanor moved with her family to Tuscarawas County at a young age and graduated from Dover High School. She was wed to Stanley P. “Buck” Mann on October 15, 1949. The couple had five children and shared 61 years of marriage prior to Buck’s passing on February 22, 2011. Eleanor was a loving homemaker and a long-time member of Ruslin Hills Church. She enjoyed quilting, growing and tending flowers around her home, especially geraniums and begonias, and following the Cleveland Guardians - she never missed a game.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Linda (Don) Rennicker and Kevin (Johnna) Mann, both of Dover, and Jeff (Janie) Mann of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Beth Alborn, Greg (Becky) Rennicker, Lisa (Tom) Kazelman, Leslie (Jeremy Dreher) LaBarge, Duane Mann, and Melissa Mann; thirteen great-grandchildren; her siblings, Roseann (Jan) Taylor, Ronnie (Roberta) and Donnie (Joyce) Rufener; her sisters-in-law, Pat Rufener and Clara Caddell; and her nieces and nephews, including Margaret Caddell.

Besides her parents and her husband, Buck, Eleanor was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sharon Mann; her son, Mark Mann; her grandson, Jeffrey Mann; her siblings, Mary Jane Stein, Norman “Skip” Mann, and Jerry Rufener.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Sunday, November 2, 2 - 4 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 3, at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home; Pastors Bill Breon and Duane Houser will officiate. Burial will be in Dover’s Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Following the committal, there will be a late lunch in the Ruslin Hills Church.
