Doreen Hicks

Doreen Hicks, 94, of New Philadelphia passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 in the Community Hospice Truman House.

Born August 30, 1927 in Disley, Sheshire, England she was a daughter of the late William and Dora Askins Lawley. Doreen was also preceded in death by her first husband, Colin Roberts on January 20, 1970; five brothers and four sisters.

Doreen retired from the Timken Co. in Duston, England after 17 years of service. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church at Dover and was a volunteer for Mobile Meals.

Doreen is survived by her second husband, Allen T. Hicks, whom she married on November 16, 1974; sons, Paul (Marianne) Roberts of Australia, Tom (Judy) Hicks of North Carolina; daughters, Lola (Larry) McMillen of New Philadelphia, Carl (John) Aubihl of Tuscarawas; three grandchildren, Bill, Elliot, Elish; six step-grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
