Derek J. Limron, age 38, of Canton, and formerly of New Philadelphia, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 3, 2022, in his home.
Born May 23, 1983, he was the son of Denny and Gale Moser Limron of New Philadelphia. Derek graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 2001, and went on to become a journeyman boilermaker. He was employed by Stark Truss Co., Canton.
Derek loved his family and time spent with them, and he also loved his dogs, Lilly and Sasha. Some of his favorite pastimes were collecting knives with his father, whom he affectionately called “Daddy,” fishing, kayaking and playing Frisbee golf. Those who knew Derek best knew he had a heart of gold.
In addition to his parents, Denny and Gale, Derek will be dearly missed by his sister, Jenna (Joseph) Penrod; his niece, Ava Penrod; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin and Frances Moser, and J.D. Limron.
Derek will be cremated through the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. No visitation or ceremony will be held. The family suggests that contributions in Derek’s memory be made to the Stark County Humane Society, P.O. Box 7077, Canton, OH 44705, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
