Delores R. Peters, 85, of Dover, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
Born on April 4, 1940, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Emma Menapace Mastri. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Jackie "Jack" Peters, who passed away on February 23, 2000; and her sisters, Lucile Yeager, Emma Mastri, and Rosalia Mastri.
Delores was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover. She gave her time as a volunteer with the Tuscarawas County Art Guild and had a deep love for animals, especially beagles. She took great pride in her flower gardening, with the Iris being her favorite. A devoted and caring mother, she cherished being involved in her daughter's school activities during grade school and enjoyed cooking for her family.
While her husband Jack served in the Navy, Delores embraced the opportunity to travel and live in new places, including Texas, Tennessee, and Guam, creating lasting memories from those years.
She is survived by her daughter, Katherine "Kathy" (Don) Conway of Magnolia; step-granddaughter, Eden Conway; step-great-granddaughter, Callie Krieger; and her niece and nephew, Anne Watkins and Dan Yeager.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 6th starting at 11:00 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dover with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery. The family will be greeting friends at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Tuesday from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. Following the burial, a luncheon will be held in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Family Life Center.
