Dawn Hardy-Shafer

Dawn Hardy-Shafer, age 65, of Dover, formerly of Akron, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025.

Born June 8, 1959, in Akron, she was the daughter of the late Delbert and Barbara (Fellmeth) Hardy. Dawn graduated from Akron Ellet High School, and was employed by both St. Thomas and Akron City Hospitals.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Hardy; her grandchildren, Brianna and Daniel; her brother and sister, David Hardy and Cynthia Leatherman; her nieces; and her great-nephews.

Besides her parents, Dawn was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Shafer; and her brother Gary Hardy.

Dawn will be cremated through the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. There will be no visitation or ceremony.
