Danny D. Drabik

Mar 3, 1958 — Jul 25, 2026

Danny D. Drabik, 68, of Dover, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Born on March 3, 1958, Danny was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth "Betty" (Hrovat) Drabik and his father, Donald Drabik. Together, Danny and Betty built much more than a successful family business-they built a legacy of generosity, hard work, and community service. Alongside their children, they proudly owned and operated Dante's Pizza & Pasta House in New Philadelphia from 1997 to 2011, Dante's Pizza on Ray Avenue from 1992 to 1997, and two Dante's Pizza locations in Harrison County during the preceding decade. Danny took great pride in serving the community he loved and in working side-by-side with his family every day.

Danny is survived by his daughter, Libby Wallick (Quinn), his son, David Drabik (Maureen), his mother, JoAnn Drabik, and many beloved extended family members and friends. He was the proud grandfather of Flannery, Sloane, and Katherine Wallick, and Stella, William, and Jack Drabik, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to his life.

Outside of work and family, Danny embraced life with enthusiasm and a deep appreciation for the things that brought people together. A self-proclaimed audiophile, he found endless enjoyment in listening to classic rock, always appreciating a great album played through a quality sound system. Just last month, he checked off a bucket list item by traveling to Red Rocks for a concert. A devoted Cleveland sports fan, he took the family to Winter Haven to watch Indians Spring Training throughout the 1990s. He also had a lifelong admiration for classic muscle cars and never passed up the chance to admire a beautifully restored ride. Above all, Danny was a natural fixer-not just of things, but of problems. Whether lending a helping hand or tackling a project for a friend or neighbor, he found genuine satisfaction in making life a little easier for others. His generosity, resourcefulness, and willingness to help will be remembered just as fondly as his quick wit and affinity for a sarcastic one-liner.

A celebration of Danny's life will be held on Monday, August 3 from 5pm-7pm at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center, 831 Boulevard, Dover, Ohio 44622. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. Danny will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Ohio's Hospice Truman House. The compassionate care and comfort they provided to Danny and his family during Betty's final days will never be forgotten. Donations made in his memory will help ensure that other families receive the same extraordinary support during life's most difficult moments.
