Dana M. Himle

Dana M. Himle, age 70, of Dover, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice Truman House.

She was born on June 12, 1956, in Decatur, Alabama, a daughter of the late Dale and Bonnie (Hurlebut) Himle.

Dana was a dedicated homemaker who deeply loved animals, especially horses and her dogs. She worked as a horse trainer for many years, finding great joy in that calling.

She is survived by her children, Courtney Shanower of Dover and Daniel Yoder of Columbus; her sister, Leann (Glen) Pink of Canada; and her grandchildren, Rigsby and Wilde Shanower.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover. In accordance with Dana’s wishes, there will be no services or calling hours.
