Dale G. Reiger Sr.

Strasburg, Ohio

Dale G. Reiger Sr., 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 in the Hennis Care Centre at Bolivar.

Born on November 17, 1936 in Dover he was a son of the late Emmett and Myrtle McManus Reiger. Dale was also preceded in death by his siblings, Jerry Reiger, Emmett Reiger, Rachel Harbold and Carol Burkhart.

Dale dedicated over 40 years to being the owner and operator of Dale's Truck Repair. His life was characterized by his strong work ethic and deep commitment to providing for his family. Dale had a variety of hobbies and interests. He enjoyed building race cars, and was a devoted fan of NASCAR, often attending races and sharing his enthusiasm with others. Other pastimes included participating in truck and tractor pulls, camping, and traveling.

Dale is lovingly remembered by his long-time companion of 46 years, Cathy Krempel. He was a father to his children: Amber (Mike) Krempel Wolfe of Strasburg, Dale (Debbie) Reiger Jr. of Gnadenhutten, Steve Reiger, Cathy Everett, and Brenda (Dave) Keplinger, all of New Philadelphia. Dale's family grew to include 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Strasburg. Per Dale's wishes, there will be a celebration of his life at a later date.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hennis Care Centre and Ohio’s Hospice for their outstanding care shown towards Dale. Thank You.
